On-Call Function Staff

Sugarloaf is now accepting applications for on-call food service employees to help in wedding and conference functions across the resort.  These wait staff and conference service employees would work during functions that take place intermittently throughout the spring, summer and fall.

Lift Electrician

Full time, year round

Full-time year-round position for an electrician with 3+ years fixed grip and detachable experience. Must have knowledge of mechanical equipment, heavy rigging, line work, AC/DC drives, low voltage electrical control circuits, and hydraulic systems. This position requires working at heights in extreme weather conditions, creative problem solving, and ability to ski or snowboard.

Conference Sales Manager

Full-time, year round

This position coordinates all aspects of Sugarloaf’s conference and meeting groups to deliver a great guest experience.  Once a group agrees to hold an event at Sugarloaf, the Conference Service Manager takes the lead in ensuring that all meeting needs are met including food & beverage events, space setup and client agenda planning.  This position works closely with the Conference Sales Manager and food & beverage team to create menus and execute all functions.  Additionally, this position works closely with the base maintenance staff to setup all function spaces.  This position also serves as a key departmental communicator to ensure that all involved parties on the mountain are aware of conference needs and expectations.

 

This position will require an employee to be in the office regularly and manage a series of complex products and services.  The successful candidate will work closely with the sales & marketing staff, along with other resort departments and third-party vendors to deliver a great guest experience.  This position will require weekend, holiday and late night hours.  Weeks of 60+ hours, late nights and early mornings, back-to-back, are common.  Strong communication skills, being detail oriented and deep computer literacy are required.  Additionally, extensive experience in conference/banquets and food & beverage settings will help this candidate succeed.  Some travel may be required.
